Rotary Club 33 hosted a reception on the patio in front of Cygnet Theatre for the first of five Rotary Nights at Cygnet.  The theatre is currently staging “The Last Five Years”, a play by Jason Robert Brown, who also wrote the Tony award-winning “Bridges of Madison County”.  The play focuses on the marriage of Jamie (played by Michael Louis Cusimano) and Cathy (played by Racquel Williams)- he a successful author and she a struggling actress- and the challenges that their different career trajectories bring to their marriage. Both actors are onstage for the entire play yet intersect only once. The show runs through November 17 and members of the Cygnet Theatre will be our featured presentation at our November 14 meeting.

For every ticket purchased on Rotary Nights, Cygnet Theatre will donate $10 of the ticket price to their youth theatre projects. The next Rotary night will be Friday December 6 for “A Christmas Carol”.
