Paddling standing and seated with dogs after helping serve beef sandwiches with Lakeland Rotarians at Beef-A-Rama
Even Moses had a beef roast- cooked in his own fatted calf- entered in the Beef-A-Rama

In addition to getting in the last paddles of the season, I helped at the 2019 Beef-A-Rama Rotary Beer Garden in Minocqua, Wisconsin.  I hadn’t planned to volunteer this year, but a chance meeting with PDG Sue Morris (District 6220) at PJ’s Burger Barn roped me in. Members of the Lakeland Noon Rotary are fortunate in their fundraisers- selling beer and beef in Wisconsin is simple!  I worked the beef sandwich line- we served more than 500 pounds of beef brisket in around three hours.  Proceeds from the Beef-A-Rama Beer Garden, together with those from the Lakeland Sunrise Rotary’s Rump Roast Run, go to fund the club’s many projects, including their very active youth exchange program.
