Each year, all President-Elects (PEs) of Rotary Clubs attend a President Elect Training Seminar (PETS).  The Southwest Rotary PETS brings together Rotary PEs from as far as Arizona to learn strategies to ensure the success of clubs they will lead in the upcoming Rotary Year.

The Southwest Rotary PETS brought together all PEs from districts to participate in training seminars and elective classes, including how to maximize use of social media, attracting young professionals to Rotary and fundraising strategies.  PEs from different clubs met in small groups to share ideas from their clubs and learn from Rotary leaders how to attract and retain new members, plan successful projects, and build effective leadership teams.  At each session District Governor Elects came in with their PEs and told about the keystone projects in their districts.  Keynote Speakers included: Rotary International President Elect Holger Knaack, Rotary International Director-Elect Vicki Puliz and RI Director Johrita Solari.  LaShonda Delivuk, Assistant Public Image Coordinator for Zone 33 gave an amazing speech about ways to grow Rotary (tip:  Wear Rotary!) and even got District Governor Elect Steve Weitzen to do the Cha Cha Slide.  Click here to see more pictures from PETS.
